We, in collaboration with SOACH-TBI, The Technology Business Incubator of SOA, organized the maiden edition of SOA Internship Fair in ITER.

The Internship Fair, comprising of Mock placement procedures, CV Scrutinies, intern assessments, etc,gave students an opportunity to intern with companies of various domains and gain real time experience in the corporate sector.

CV-Curriculum Vitae,the long form version of your resume through which the potential employer wants to have a deeper look at you and your abilities and the most important gateway to enter your Dream Company,indeed.

The workshop, conducted by Mr. Biswaranjan Sahoo, IT professional, social entrepreneur and motivational speaker, alongwith a team of corporate leaders, gave students an insight to build an impressive CV.

The key points of the workshop included-

• What is a CV and it's importance.

• Ellaborating the difference between CV and a Resume.

• Component,Format and Style of CV.

• Techniques to build a strong CV .

• Do's and Dont's to follow while preparing a CV.

For the aspiring entrepreneurs of our university, Idea5 proved to be the most stirring idea pitching challenge ever. The competition consisted of two rounds : ‘The 5 cube challenge’and ‘My Startup Strategy’ . With innovative challenges in each round, this competition gave the students an opportunity to get their ideas incubated in SOACH-TBI.

For all business enthusiasts and entrepreneurial aimers, this quizhosted by Mr. Satwik Raut, a very well known member of Odisha Quiz Association, and witnessed participation of more than 15 teams from various colleges. The winners were awarded with exciting cash prizes and trophies.

I AM MAURYA, a competition to test leadership, creativity and communication skills of students, was the opening event of IEC during Chakravyuh-Genesis 2017, The Annual Techno-Cultural Fest of SOA University. The competition witnessed participation from various institutes of SOA, as well as students of different colleges of Bhubaneswar.

The most awaited opportunity for all budding entrepreneurs, this competition gave them a platform to showcase their innovative ideas/products, tackle the on board questions of the judges and prove their idea to be the best. The competition was judged by Mr. Ananda Kumar Mishra, Co-founder and CEO of Grozip and Mr. Sagar Pratihari, serial investor and rising Entrepreneur, along with Mr.Ashutosh Dehuri, our Alumni and the founder of IEC, elevating and enhancing the entire event.

This educative and interactive workshop was conducted by Mr. Aaquib Hussain, Creative Head and Marketing Manager of I And We, India’s first physical and digital education platform. The workshop focused on the following key points-

• Enhance the abilities of students in strong profile projection

• Resume consolidation and Career Orientation

• Ultimately stream alignment of opportunities, industrial operations, project viabilities, etc.

The workshop gave students a broad idea about possible career orientations of their respective streams, giving them an opportunity to gain epitome knowledge and foster their own ideas in the best possible ways, and turned out to be one of the best interactive sessions.

Entrepreneurship Awareness Drive is a massive initiative to promote entrepreneurship and encourage students across the country to embrace the concept of starting own’s enterprise. Organised by Entrepreneurship Cell, IIT Kharagpur and hosted by us, this event attracted thousands of students from all over Odisha and gave them an experience of a lifetime.

An educative and interactive brainstorming session for the freshers of our college, this event consists of numerous fun filled activities and games to provide students an insight to the world of entrepreneurship. It also aims to teach students qualities like leadership, team work, team management, creativity, etc, through interesting games and challenges, along with providing them an opportunity to be a part of our team.
